Keynote Speaker

Mike Allen, one of Washington's most influential and well-conencted journalists, will be the keynote speaker May 15 at the 2018 AFS Government Affairs Fly-In. 

Allen is the co-founder and executive editor of Axios, and previously was the chief White House correspondent for Politico. With humor and insight, Allen will share exclusive, poignant and up-to-the-minute analysis on what's going on at the White House and on Capitol Hill.

The cut-off date for reserving rooms in the AFS room block is Monday, April 23, 2018. Any reservations accepted after the cutoff date shall be accepted at the AFS rate based on availability.

Complimentary standard wireless internet is available in all sleeping rooms for the duration of the program.

Cancellations and Substitutions
Substitutions will be accepted at any time. If you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so with no less than a 48-hour notification prior to the first day of arrival to avoid one (1) night rooms and tax charge.

Tax Deduction of Expenses
An income tax deduction is allowed for expenses of education, including registration fee, travel, meals and lodging, undertaken to maintain and improve professional skills (see U.S. Treasury Regulation 1.162.5).

Conference Photo Policy
Registration for the conference implies consent that pictures, video or audio recordings taken during AFS and AFS-related events can be used for conference coverage and promotional purposes. AFS is able to use your likeness without remuneration.
