Jim Folk, CEO of the Folk Group

Jim Folk is Principal at The Folk Group, a merger and acquisition firm specializing in the metalcasting industry. Folk has orchestrated the acquisition of 36 foundries and business valuations of over 40 foundries and supervised three turnaround projects in the past 20 years. His expertise includes projects in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, India, Malaysia, Singapore and France. He also has clients in Italy, Sweden, India and Poland. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University and an MBA from Lehigh University. Folk was a licensed Professional Engineer for over 40 years.

Wade Newton, Director of Communications with the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers

Wade Newton is a seasoned communications expert with more than 20 years of experience managing complex communications matters. Newton has worked at all levels of strategic communications involving the auto industry's positions on safety, environment and economic affairs, as well as working with the global industry trade association on worldwide policy communications. He was the communications director for Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-Alabama), who received the legislative Metalcasting Industry Eagle Award at the AFS Government Affairs Fly-In held in June in Washington, D.C.

Kirk Lippold, Commander, USS Cole

Commander Kirk Lippold, USN (Ret.) was the Commanding Officer of the USS Cole when it came under a suicide terrorist attack by al Qaeda in the port of Aden, Yemen. During his command, he and his crew distinguished themselves by saving the American war ship from sinking. This event is widely viewed as one of the most brazen acts of terrorism by al Qaeda prior to September 11, 2001. Today, Commander Lippold is a popular inspirational figure and leadership speaker who remains in high demand with Fortune 500 companies, leading financial institutions, top industry associations, the Department of State, Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and state-level governments, both in the U.S . and internationally.

Denny Dotson, Chairman of Dotson Iron Castings and AFS representative to the WFO

Denny Dotson is a lifelong metalcaster and has served as president of both the American Foundry Society and the Ductile Iron Society. He currently serves as the AFS representative to the World Foundry Organization. Dotson Iron Castings is a 141-year-old company specializing in the less than 50-pound ductile cast and machined market. He has been chairman at the company since 2010.

Peter Reich, Director of Laempe Reich, is currently the AFS 2nd Vice President. The Reich family success story began 75 years ago, when Harry H. Reich, a young patternmaker-molder headed south and arrived in Alabama, raised a family, and started his company selling foundry equipment and supplies. Son Harry C. Reich grew the company, and eventually partnered with Joachim Laempe. And Laempe Reich was born.
